Daybook

For Today....

Outside my window ~ sunny, warm, the pollen is flying

I am thinking ~ why are some people "blessed" with seasonal allergie & others aren't?

I am thankful for ~ allergy pills, soft klennex, closed windows (sense a theme here?)

From the learning rooms ~ amphibians in zoology, Economics, studying Proverbs, typing, Spanish, lots of reading, Bible Drill

From the kitchen ~ baked hamburgers, mashed potatoes & gravy, vegies

I am wearing ~ denim skirt, pink top, slip on tennies, a runny nose

I am creating ~ pleating & blocking 4 dresses for smocking, a surprise for little grandson, hand quilting on my queen size "Bright Blocks" quilt

I am reading ~ "The Urban Homesteader" by Scott Meyer and decided to start rereading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation

I am hoping praying ~ for a fun, safe trip back & forth to Missouri this weekend and for a great visit with Katie & Bryant!

I am hearing ~ car engines, puppy paws, doors closing, computer noises

Around the house ~ started a new Coke puzzle yesterday, training dogs, setting up gardening areas, some planting & starting seeds

One of my favorite things ~ time changes

A few things for the rest of the week ~ bible study, business meeting, visit Missouri, Will's 18th birthday!

A picture to share ~

our chicks in a box in Katie's apt. for this week!  They aren't all ours!  Some will go to new homes in Miss.

  1. I had to smile when you said you were wearing a runny nose! I've had to wear one lots of times, too.

Hope you "dry up" soon and that your visit will be fun-filled.

  2. I am one of the "blessed"! LOL! I love the Urban Homesteader, I have a link to their blog on my blog. Great people with some really great ideas. We are starting to hatch some chics! We got the first one this morning! Can't wait to get home and see how many more we might have and take some pictures.

Welcome to the farm ~ we are a blended family with 7 children (3 are married), 4 grandsons, 5 dogs, 3 rabbits, and 15 chickens living on 3 acres in Georgia. I love crafting, sewing, cooking & canning, recipes of all kinds, reading, playing with my little buddies, family time, travel, pinterest and most of all the Lord.
