Armor of God

Ephesians 6: 10-19

10: Finally, my brethren, be strong of the Lord and in the power of His might.
11: Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12:For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood , but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13: Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14: Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15: and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace,
16: above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one
17: And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this and wilth all perseverance and supplication for all the saints----
19: and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel.

It is getting much more necessary in our daily lives to make sure we are properly "clothed".  The world sees things in shades of gray with too many areas of life not covered by God's word.  The Lords word is black and white, with no shady areas.  The Lords Word & Will should rule our lives daily and not just be pulled out when convenient, taken out of context to fit the situation, or discarded as not applicable. I believe in our Christian walk, the Lord chooses to pull back the curtains on just a little more of His truth as we are able to handle and understand it.  He has revealed many new truths and doctrines to us in the last year ~ they've always been there, we just didn't understand until now.

Instead of basing your "view" of life and its difficulties/trials etc. on the world's view ~ get a good Bible and base your "view" on the word of the Lord.  Life is so much easier when you turn to the Lord for help.

  1. Such true words! If we look at the bible it warns us of these times. But we are not to worry (or fret) as they must come to pass. Thank you for sharing today.
