She Finished!

As we are finishing school subjects, we are picking up unfinished craft projects to complete.Amy has been working on this quilt for 2 1/2 years ~ she decided to hand quilt this jewel and decided to quilt around each square within the log cabin block....there is miles of hand quilting on this approximate twin size quilt.  2 weeks ago, I decided she needed to get it finished ~ honestly, for the last 6 months this has been in the sewing room closet ~ neglected and tried to be forgotten.  I am not being critical because I have my own quilting project still residing in the quilting frame upstairs....just being honest!

The last 5-7 days she has been quilting up a storm. And all the hard work was accomplished last night.

birght, cheerful colors!

the quilting on the back ~ we really like the back as much as the front
My finished jelly roll quilt ~ I have 3 more "in the process"-all different color themes
I told Amy when she finished that I would do the binding ~~~~~ which she reminded me of last night!  Thats the next step ~ then washing it and its ready for the fair in Sept.

Her next project is going to be something small and easily accomplished in 1 or 2 days.  We've found lots of owl ideas on Pinterest, that she wants to do!  I love free ideas & inspiration!
