For Will's birthday, we wanted to eat a special meal "on the road" as we were traveling up to Katie's in Missouri. We decided to eat at Lamberts ~ Greg had been there once before but the rest of us had not.
It was a great place to stop for a special treat and the food was absolutely yummy~ lots of it~

When you sit down ~ they bring you fried okra & throw you a roll! There was buttery spread (yuck, not real butter), honey or apple butter for the rolls.
After they bring your meal, servers walk around with pots of black eyed peas, fried taters & onions, macaroni & tomatoes, and more rolls to throw at, I mean to you!
We were so full~ we took the leftovers to Katie's and hopefully they ate them last night for dinner.
It was a unique experience and one we won't forget for a long time!
