Daybook Entry 5-18-2010

FOR TODAY
Outside my window... it is sunny and warm at Mom's

I am thinking... that I need to get busy and get off the computer

I am thankful for... everything

From the learning rooms... does picking strawberries and cutting squash count? Oh yeah, Home Ec!

From the kitchen... freezing strawberries for jam/jelly

I am wearing... black capris, hot pink blouse, sandals

I am creating... finishing Faith, Family, Friends cross stitch, ready to go on a Smocking binge!

I am going... to celebrate Katie and my nephew Billy's graduation at a special family dinner tomorrow night!

I am reading... "Deep in the Heart" by Gilbert Morris

I am hoping... for a fun day tomorrow with my sister and her kids & Mom at the Varsity & World of Coke Museum

I am hearing... the slicing of vegetables as Katie & Amy cut squash for tonights dinner

Around the house... gotta get back to pleating baby dresses

One of my favorite things... a tall glass of Sweet Tea

A few plans for the rest of the week: driving back to Miss., youth garage sale this weekend for summer camp, craft fair at church (I will be selling doll clothes & smocked dresses)

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

The fruits of our labor yesterday. We picked these 5 buckets of strawberries. We had lots of fun, but I quickly decided that I would not be a good sharecropper. If I got paid by the bucket, we would starve, I don't pick fast!

Welcome to the farm ~ we are a blended family with 7 children (3 are married), 4 grandsons, 5 dogs, 3 rabbits, and 15 chickens living on 3 acres in Georgia. I love crafting, sewing, cooking & canning, recipes of all kinds, reading, playing with my little buddies, family time, travel, pinterest and most of all the Lord.
