Our testimony is how we came to know Christ as our Lord & Savior. Others may watch to see how we handle situations, circumstances, trials in life, blessings, life & death, etc. Being a Christian doesn't mean we are perfect, that we don't sin, that life is always rosey. It does mean that we have a Savior to guide us, a Bible to teach us, and others to encourage us in life.
When others watch do they see us or do they see Christ living in us? Do they see us navigating through difficult circumstances gracefully or do they see us pitching a temper tantrum at the slightest turn of events, do they see us act calmly or not, do they provoke us to see our reaction (unfortunately this is true in some cases), do they watch how we treat others ~ family & friends, do they desire what we have ~ our relationship with Christ ~ or do they want nothing to do with Christ, the church, other believers because through us they see deception?
We don't have all the answers ~ but we know the One who does. There is always room for improvement in our lives.
We should be living differently if Christ if our Savior, Redeemer, Deliverer, Protector. We should be striving to live a life pleasing to Him & not pleasing/adapting to the world. We should desire honesty, integrity, love, service, giving, , modesty, wisdom, and leading a quiet life.
If the closest others get to Christ is by watching us ~ what are they seeing?
It makes you think!
