Giving Amy the Camera at "The Land" in Epcot

We designated Amy as the official photographer while we rode through "The Land" pavilion at Epcot.  She does a great job and we can be assured of lots of pictures.....
We do love to see the hydroponic gardening and the huge fruits and vegies they grow (we can do without the "tree hugging, save our planet talk".

growing plants and taking advantage of the "natural" fertilizer of the fish tank

I know Amy took this picture for me knowing how I love hate banana's!

catfish farming

Alligator Farming ~ yes, we've eaten gator, I think its pretty good.

9 POUND lemons ~ they were bigger than a softball!

I NEED a tomato tree in my backyard like this!

Our photographer!

A lot of the food grown in these greenhouses is used in their restaurants on Disney property.  Its cool to ride through there and see all they've done in different weather & growing conditions.  2 years ago we took a behind the scenes walking tour that was fun but it did cost extra.  This year, we decided to buy a plant from their "shop" and try our hand at growing something unusual ~ we chose a vanilla plant.  It came in a test tube with growing medium and we aren't supposed to try transplanting it till the plant fills up the test tube ~ since its only 1 stem and 2-3 leaves now, I think test tube filling will take a while.

Genesis 1:11-13

Then God said, " Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth", and it was so.  And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind.  And  God saw that it was good.  So the evening and the morning were the third day."  (taken from the New King James Study Bible)

  1. I would love to see a picture of a child in a funny hat. Do you have any pictures of children in a funny hat?
