Daybook ~ March 1
For today...
Outside my window...its sunny and cool 42 degrees, but it will be in the 70's this afternoon
I am thinking...about my blessings
I am thankful for...my Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ
From the kitchen...vegetable beef soup, cornbread I also need to bake bread and make some cookies
I am wearing...khaki skirt, t shirt
I am creating...finishing my great niece's smocked dress, still working on 23rd Psalm cross stitch
I am going...to enjoy our "Experiencing God" bible study with some young adults from our church this week. It will be held at our house.
I am reading...gardening magazines, finished reading Esther in the Bible and now Job is next. I finished the last book in "The Caroline Years" books.
I am praying...for the Lord to make His Will known in several specific situations. Greg and I are praying earnestly for guidance and the Lords Will.
I am hearing...a Kevin Swanson sermon on Sermon Audio, cars driving by, fingers typing
From the schoolroom...the usual and lots of reading. Amy & Will have a Bible reading checkoff list, they can update every day to keep up with their reading. Katie is "coaching" them in Bible Drill skills every morning. So how can a Mom walk into the room and say "Put down your Bibles and do Math" ~ NOT. Actually, I just tell them to be done by a certain time and then we start the math.
Around the house...getting garden spots ready, some of the garlic is pointing its leaves out of the ground, I will be starting some heirloom tomatoes from seed. Also, my Orchid has sent up a new stem and has buds on it. James gave this plant to me for Mother's Day last year and I am excited with the new growth.
One of my favorite things...puppy snuggles. They can carry it too far when all 4 chihuahua's want to sleep in my lap, while I am trying to cross stitch.
A few plans for the rest of the week...dance lessons, Bible Study at church, quilting class, Experiencing God study, girls helping at a SS sleepover for the 3-6 graders, working outside, probably will be some more garden tilling and planning.
Katie & Amy are signed up to take the first set of Wilton Cake Decorating classes. We've bought most of the supplies and the first class is Monday night. My camera will be catching every fun moment! This will be "yummy" education!
