Here Chickie, Chickie, Chickie.....

We visited our new chickies today at Marie's house. She is going to keep them for us till we get back from GA. Never thought I would need a chicken sitter!

Funny story...her old chickens were destined for the stew pot. They haven't laid eggs in a year. She orders 12 chicks and guess what? Her lazy chickens are back in production. She is getting 8-9 eggs everyday. She blessed us with a dozen fresh eggs today!

  1. Keepers at Home, I did this with my Dd! We loved it and still talk about our projects. We didn't have a group, it was just the two of us Mom and daughter building and growing time.

Our Ds and Mike did a study for youngmen, that was similar but a bit more involved.

Love your chick pictures, I can't believe ours are almost two months old already, all feathered outand the roosters are sparring, LOL!!!!

    Blessings,
    Kelle

  2. Kelle,

Our group started out just being 3 moms and their daughters doing crafts to enter in the State Fair. Now we have 7 families and 13 girls. They have a wonderful time together! Since we are in a neighborhood, we just got chicks...no roosters. We've never done this before, so it will be interesting.

  3. Hi, I just stumbled along your blog and am so glad I did. I love your chickens. This is the first year we got 4 wk. old chickens instead of day old. I miss the little ones....
